I only recolor cc and that aLONE has been a struggle for me, I've spent hours just smoothing out alpha jeans so that they're more max/mix without compromising seams and that can a lot of veeeeery close up, very careful detailed hand drawing in order to keep the details that are wanted.
HOWEVER I still understand that even making a mesh into a crop top or separating ribbons from a shirt or erasing stitching from sleeves, can involve hours of repairing meshes so there's no blank holes in the collar where your sims neck should be, and fixing textures so that the wrinkles match up, and half the time you get a weird glitch where all of a sudden your shorts are floating next to your sim in cas instead of being actually on the sim for no reason because you did exactly what you do with every other mesh you've created. I get being iffy and critical of add ones being early access and I will continue to feel the way i do about add ons and that's my prerogative. Hey I know you're probably getting a some rude asks about your add on stuff and I wanted to give my personal take.
